Approved by the Conselleria d’Educació de les Illes Balears as Permanent Teacher Training
Aimed at professionals in Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary Education, Educators, Artists, Researchers and anyone interested in Education as an instrument of personal and social growth and transformation.
Fundació Sa Llavor, a non-profit entity that promotes education for ecological, artistic and social development.
It belongs to the Census of collaborating entities of the Conselleria d’Educación, Cultura i Universitats de les Illes Balears and has been carrying out programs in Holistic Pedagogy approved as Permanent Teacher Training since 2012.
The training program is endorsed by the Center for Ecoliteracy, Berkeley, California.
The Sa Llavor School, which belongs to the Foundation, is the first independent and autonomous center of Holistic Pedagogy in Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education approved by the Conselleria d’Educació, Cultura i Universitats de les Illes Balears.

Objectives:
Promote educational innovation through holistic pedagogy.
Generate learning processes that facilitate learning to do, learning to be, learning to think and learning to live together.
Experience the various artistic languages and their application in educational practice as instruments for development and learning.
Activate the creative abilities and the pedagogical intuition of the participants.
Develop teamwork and learning communities.
Contents:
The principles of holistic pedagogy applied to educational practice in nursery, primary and secondary education. The development needs and learning capacities in the different stages of development and growth.
The interrelated, comprehensive and practical development of learning content. Interdisciplinary projects and teamwork.
Artistic activities as a means to develop content in the learning process, creativity and personal initiative. The collective creation.
The importance of the connection with nature to develop respect and care. The observation and description of natural phenomena as a basis for scientific knowledge through experience. collective research.
The learning community and service to others as the end of education.

Module 1
Education for life. Action and rhythm in Education
Childhood is one of the most important times of our lives. What we experience in childhood forms the basis of our attitudes as adults toward the world and toward other people. Children must be surrounded by a warm and homely environment in which their most vital needs are enhanced: creation, initiative and imagination.

Presentations; methodological and didactic practices; artistic workshops applied to educational practice: stories, creation with natural materials, wool and modeling wax.
Module 2
The importance of art in Education. The teaching that passes through the heart
Art is the possibility of transcendent expression that the human being has. It makes the invisible visible and awakens essential qualities such as sensitivity, attention, imagination and creativity.
Knowledge is awakened from experience in interdisciplinary activities that present a connection with life and an end in itself. This facilitates comprehensive training and an interrelated and practical development of learning capabilities.

Module 3
Free thinking
Young people find the truth through experience and knowledge of scientific, artistic, natural, historical and social phenomena with which they develop their own thinking. Through reasoning we configure free thinking and develop autonomy and responsibility.

Module 4
A new look at education: teamwork and learning communities
Create more awareness in the educational task, contributing to a more inclusive world in which everything is connected.
We live in a world of interrelationships and dependencies in which everything is connected. The identity of children is in the relationship with other children, with teachers, with families, with society and with the planet. One of the great needs of the educational process is the development of new skills to see links and connections.

Module 5
Educational experiences developed with a holistic approach
June 7, 2024
CONTENT AND ACTIVITIES
Different examples of educational experiences developed through a holistic approach based on the 4 principles of Sa Llavor Holistic Pedagogy will be presented.
Schedule:
Friday: 5-9 p.m.
Transfer activities and applicability:
Through knowledge of the needs and abilities of the different stages of growth, the professional respects the individual rhythm of the student and develops their confidence in their own abilities and personal initiative.
Through the interrelated, integral and practical development of the educational objectives and contents of the interdisciplinary projects, the student learns to relate the different areas of knowledge in a practical way and develops their capacities in an interconnected way.
Through the artistic processes integrated into the educational dynamics and content development, the student develops sensitivity, attention, imagination and creativity.
Through regular care and connection with nature, the student develops respect for the environment, for others and for himself.
Through the observation and description of natural phenomena, the student experiences the world around him and discovers the laws of life, the basis of applied experimental science.
Through the participation of students and families in school care activities, and in collective creation projects, students carry out active and cooperative learning, learn to work as a team and develop collaboration in real activities for the common good.
Activity evaluation plan:
100% attendance at the course is required to validate the training.
Active participation and involvement in training proposals is valued.
Positive evaluation of a design project, implementation and presentation of educational experiences developed with a holistic approach in the educational centers of the participants.
Positive evaluation of a report on professional learning and personal development during the training process that will be delivered once the course has ended.
Positive evaluation of a didactic application describing the transfer and applicability activities that, based on the training process, can be developed in schools and class groups.
Selection criteria:
The selection of participants will be made through a registration form during the month of September and October 2023.
Trainers:
Sa Llavor pedagogical team. Pioneer in Holistic Pedagogy. For more than 16 years, he has been researching the qualities and needs of human beings in their comprehensive development process, promoting the creation of learning communities for the common good through art, connection with nature and service to others.
Cost:
€ 755 (Includes material and snacks)
The total cost of the program is €755 and is carried out on a non-profit basis in order to exclusively cover the costs generated by the program. Includes materials and snacks.
Payment for the program is made through registration with a cost of €260 and 3 installments of €165 between the 1st and 5th of each month:
