Sa Llavor was born in 2007 in Mancor de la Vall, Mallorca, creating an independent and autonomous school in order to contribute to the development of a more conscious society through Education. Since its creation it was a pioneer in Spain in Holistic Pedagogy, introducing an innovation in the form and methodology of teaching, which educates through experience and sustainable ethical principles, which takes into account the vital, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual aspects of the child at each stage of their growth and development.

Since 2007 doing this work, the school now has more than 100 students who develop, learn and experiment by following their personal rhythms in the different courses of Nursery and Primary

In 2009 the Art, Culture and Nature Sa Llavor area began to move, with which the Foundation creates and offers courses, events, manual and artistic workshops, music classes, exhibitions and conferences for the whole society.

In 2012, the Sa Llavor Pedagogy Training Programs began, consisting of courses aimed at educators and people interested in this holistic vision of Education. The aim of the courses is to transmit a comprehensive view of Education and to live a process that facilitates and activates the creative capacities and pedagogical intuition of the participants.

More than 160 students have attended the Sa Llavor Pedagogy Training courses, which are endorsed by the Center for Ecoliteracy (Berkeley, California) and officially certified by approved by the Conselleria d’Educació, Cultura i Universitats de les Illes Balears as Permanent Teacher Training.

Among the teaching teams and educational centers that have carried out programs adapted to their needs and educational reality are the E. P. de Esporles, the E.P. Ses Marjades de Sóller, the Crea_T Group of Palma, the CEP of Palma and the CEP of Inca.

In 2013, the Sa Llavor Educational Research and Innovation group was created. It is a working group formed by teachers from different educational centers of the Balearic Islands and professionals from other fields (Sciences, Arts and Humanities). It investigates educational phenomena through observation, reflection and experience and develops pedagogical resources that are published by the Fundació Sa Llavor with the intention of bringing this innovative perspective to the educational community.

Today at Fundació Sa Llavor we continue working and evolving to sow change in the world through Education.
